#ExpeditionHacks Los Angeles Challenge:
How can we use geospatial information to better understand, model, visualize, and monitor the nexus between food security and regional stability in Morocco? These efforts are important in predicting and understanding humanitarian/military crises. Here are some KEY ideas for the challenge:
- Validate prediction models for crops, such as Wheat, Rice, and Barley.
- Based on imagery and available data, where should aid workers setup storage for food based on transportation capabilities and other constraints?
- Build a forecasting model to:
- predict and improve crop yield
- predict when to harvest
- Predict ability to harvest crop
- Predict ability to store and process crop
- Predict ability to distribute crop/processed product
- Predict impact on crops from a 2-degree temperature change
